This 1135-unit community development located in Saratoga Springs, Utah has been managed by Community Solutions & Sales, An Associa Company®, since 2006. The community features two swimming pools and geothermal hot tubs, a private dock, and a golf course.
The community was facing an eminent domain challenge along their front road. Failure to refute this effort would negatively impact the community with increased traffic, noise, and changes to the planned aesthetic. The community was also facing capital expenditures of $675,000 for required upgrades, which they did not have the funds to complete.
Community Solutions & Sales, An Associa Company®, negotiated with the Utah Department of Transportation to sell the land facing eminent domain and leveraged the state to build a sound wall and improve the community’s landscaping. This generated $250,000 in additional revenue to fund community reserves. The management team’s out-of-the-box thinking allowed for the upgrades to be completed, improving the curb appeal and infrastructure of the community.
